We have an Encinitas Ashram Renovation Update: Donation appeals at the December and January Temple Meetings for much-needed Ashram renovations raised $475,000 as of April 12. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiastic and generous response which has enabled us to begin the approval process with Mother Center on several projects. Details will be provided as projects get underway, with regular updates on fundraising and project milestones.

If you would like to contribute, donation envelopes are available in the Temple and J Street Chapel pews and foyers. The QR code on the envelopes makes donating simple with credit cards or PayPal or you may use the “Donations” tab on our website: encinitastemple.org. Again, thank you for your heartfelt and generous support.

Our Temple Meeting takes place this Tuesday, April 16, from 7 – 8:30 p.m.  at the main Temple. The meeting begins with a short inspirational talk followed by a half-hour meditation. We will then receive Temple updates as well as updates on the Encinitas Ashram Renovation Project from Brother Ritananda. The minister will then read and discuss passages from Autobiography of a Yogi. All are warmly welcome to attend.

You are all invited to join in a special celebration to honor our Minister, the former Brahmachari Wolfgang, who is now Brother Asimananda. This will occur this coming Saturday, April 20, at noon during Day of Service, directly prior to the delicious vegetarian lunch, which will probably be served at 12:20 p.m.

Our Day of Service begins at 8:30 a.m. with a meditation led by a Minister in the main Temple. We then meet on the Temple patio as we break into cleaning, gardening, and maintenance groups. At 11:40 a.m. we will have another meditation with the minister. Families are most welcome to participate, and children will be guided in some fun activities.

Saturday, April 20:  The SRF Lessons Study Group is reading from Supplement Lesson 20, “The Divine Potentials of Mind and Will Power.”
