About Young Adults Group
The Encinitas Temple Young Adults Group aims to be a spiritual community for young adults where they feel supported in their spiritual journey as they establish meaningful connections with like-minded friends. The group provides a warm welcome and spiritual fellowship for those between the ages of 19 and 40.
Activities
Young Adults meet once a month during events designed to give young adults a balanced experience of meditation, spiritual discussions, service, fellowship and recreation. Activities include spiritual gatherings at the temple, group meditations, kirtans and informal nature outings. Detailed information on the upcoming activities can be found in the Calendar section.
Friendship
“Friendship is the highest form of love. As such, it is meant to evolve into the divine manifestation of God’s eternal love. Friendship is the highest relationship, because in friendship there is no compulsion; it is born of the free choice of the heart. It is God calling souls back to unity in Him. If you can be a friend to all, unconditionally, that is divine love.”
— Paramahansa Yogananda
“To be a true, unconditional friend, your love must be anchored in God’s love. Your life with God is the inspiration behind true divine friendship with all. True friends bring mutual progress to one another.”
— Paramahansa Yogananda
“Friendship is the universal spiritual attraction that unites souls in the bond of divine love. It may manifest itself in the unity of two persons or of many. When perfect friendship exists either between two hearts or within a group of hearts (as in a spiritual organization), such friendship perfects each individual. The heart purified by friendship provides an open door to unity.”
— Paramahansa Yogananda
