SRF has many digital resources available for new members as well as long time devotees, such as online meditations, scriptural study groups, weekly inspirational talks, kirtans, and even one-day retreats. Numerous people enjoy these offerings in addition to in-person Temple participation. 

For anyone who wants to take advantage of these helpful and inspiring online offerings, we are fortunate to have volunteers from the SRF InternationalHelp Desk available today after both Sunday servicesin front of theSpecial Events Room at the Main Temple to assist you. Your questions will be answered no matter what your level of tech skills, so that you can access SRF resources on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. 

The Encinitas Young Adults are sponsoring a Kirtan and Potluck Fundraiser on the main Temple patio today, from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. This event will support local relief efforts and the devotees who have been affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.  

There will be a period of chanting and meditation from 12:30 to 1:20, followed by food and fellowship until 2:30 p.m. If you would like to contribute food for this potluck, please feel free to drop off vegetarian-friendly dishes at the back patio near the Special Events Room. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!

If you would like to take some time from your busy life to think of God and to develop a closer relationship with Him, we have good news. There will be a monastic-led one-day retreat this coming Saturday, February 8. It will be at the main Temple from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will be livestreamed by the SRF Online Meditation Center (OMC). This event will be open to in-person participation. A simple Indian meal will be served on the Temple patio at 4 p.m. for all those attending the retreat.

Please note that the morning meditation at the J Street Chapel is canceled.

If you will be attending in person, please make a special effort to arrive early and be on the patio for the Energization Exercises by 8:00 a.m. so as not to disrupt the livestream recording.

If you would like to visit the Hermitage, please note that it will open 12:00-2:00 p.m. only on the days it is available. Next Sunday, February 9, is the only day available for February. Please visit encinitastemple.org and click on “Make reservations to visit SRF Hermitage.”

Please note that the Kook Run 10K and 5K races will take place next Sunday, February 9 along Coast Highway 101. The race will begin at 7:20 a.m. and end at 10 a.m. Coast Highway will be closed from 4:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Parking is available only on 2nd and 3rd Streets. Please allow extra time for parking.

Saturday, February 8: The SRF Lessons Study Group is reading from Supplement Lesson 25, “Understanding and Attuning with the Power of Love.”
