This Saturday, August 29, from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., all are welcome to celebrate our Guru’s homeland on the Encinitas Ashram Grounds. Our theme this year is “India: Light of the World.” From 5:30 until 7:00 p.m., you may enjoy divine fellowship while dining on an authentic Indian meal. Parents and children are invited to a family-friendly area on the Tower Lawn for fun with India-themed instruments and art activities.
On the main stage at 7:30 p.m., the minister will open the program with a prayer and introductory remarks. This will be followed by an entertaining and inspiring play, The Discontented Man, based on a story by Paramahansa Yogananda. You will then have the opportunity to view a slideshow by SRF Nuns. This enchanted evening will close with a showing of the Lake Shrine Dedication film.
The recommended way of purchasing tickets is on our Temple website, encinitastemple.org. You may also purchase tickets at the patio table at the main Temple after Sunday services. There will be NO patio sales at the J Street Chapel or after Thursday evening services.
Please come and join us this Saturday morning, August 29, at 9 a.m. on the Ashram grounds as we prepare for our India Night celebration. You can enter through the K Street gate. (If you wish to serve at the Temple or the J Street Chapel as a regular part of Day of Service, please go directly to the Temple at 9 a.m.) All help is greatly appreciated and very much needed. Lunch will be provided for all who serve.
Today, if you would like to pick out a new India Night outfit, you have come to the right place. We will have an Indian clothing giveaway from 9:30 a.m. on the Temple patio. All are welcome.
Self-Realization Fellowship is pleased to announce that Registration is now open for the fall session of online How-to-Live classes for children and teens, ages 9 through 17.
